Xian

30th august

sunny 33 °C

Hi,

Another update for you so you can keep up to date with things. Decided today was the day to go to see the teracotta warriors. Got a bus from the train station in Xian and set off on the 1 hour journey. Not too bad on the bus but one child managed to be sick in the aisle. The chinese method for clearing it up- put newspaper on it, let it go soggy and get soaked up, then chuck the newspaper out the bus window whilst its driving along-classic!! haha. The warriors was very very impressive. Its amazing that these things have been hidden for so long!! Just back at the room before going to the bank later and also trying to find somewhere for tea.

Hi,

Well, it's nice to hear you're having a good time. I don't think I could cope with the heat though. It's meant to have been 27 degrees here today and I've found it a bit too warm.

Had a chinese at weekend. Turned into a bit of a saga as they sent dad and Chris away without one of the dishes. Dad naturally had to go back for it and we ended up with too much food. Dogs had a nice meal though....

Flat still a bombsite, but the bedroom at least is sorted. Andrew and Laura are due to visit this week - I think we'll be eating out on the landing!

Take care, love Natalie

PS Don't know if mum and dad are online or not. Chris moved the cables back to our computer on Sunday and we forgot to put them back before we left. Mum then couldn't get your computer working again as things didn't seem to be colour coded. Dad had to go in the loft for another mouse and keyboard. We're definitely not popular... Think we'd better stay away from Bolton for a bit. :-)
