Guilin - Reed Flute Caves

5th September

overcast 26 °C

Hello,

Just having a relaxing evening, the chinese people in the YH are playing really loud and bad music so this wont be long.

Went to see the Reed Flute Caves today, got a bus and a strange chinese guy attached himself to us to 'practice his english'. the caves were good, lots of stalegtites and nice scenary. We also stopped off at some 'givernment run' pearl museums. These pearls come with a guarentee so... mum: your master card bill will have some nice surprises : ) I got my birthday pearls, and i got gradma some, she owes you aboyt 33 pounds (but she gets a guarentee with them).

We also found a supermarket so we had instant noodles for tea followed by fruit in jelly and a snickers : ) also bought a cheap washing up bowl to soak our feet in.

I'm feeling ok, my colds clering up a bit, Si's trying to watch lots of chinese football : ) 'trying' being the operative word. ha ha.

Love
Sarah and Si x

Hi once again S & S, Its really good being able to get your updates -- Well done with the pearls -- remember you wont get many chances to buy nick-knacks so get them bought -- Simon has lots of space -- remember though, if they are sort of valuable it will be better to carry them as hand luggage -- I've spoken to Sue, and she would like some white pearls as well, so can you go back and get them. How is your bites; you can always use whisky, both inside and out -- until your next update D in Paris XXXX

Hi Guys,

You know, I'm beginning to think that you're copying my honeymoon. 500+ photos, mozzie bites, colds, a cruise and a bunch of entertaining Americans!

I have been watching some of the wedding that Sarah filmed for me. She has redeemed herself slightly after graduation. However, between her and dad there are quite a few instances where filming started BEFORE the lens cover was removed.... Gave Chris and I a few laughs anyway.

We're off to see the Lion King for my birthday on Friday. We've even got the tickets so I know it's not just a pipe dream! We're planning to go out for tea beforehand, so that coupled with travelling to London should cover most of the day.

Am being warned to keep weekends free for the massive photo session.... :-)

Love Natalie
