Hi
Well this hopefully won't be a long email because:
a) Sarah's stayed in the room because she's a bit tired,
and
b) The keys on the keyboard in the internet room have been completely rubbed off so this is taking me ages!!
Well we got up quite early today mainly because we left the air con on all night and this kept us awake- it sounded like a jet taking off right above my head. This won't be happening tonight, we'll just boil.
Went for a nice fried egg breakfast (all this chinese food is ok for a while!) and then decided to hire bikes for the day. Only 80p for a whole day, 'wow' i thought.....then they dragged the bikes out.....'owch!' i thought. They were pretty new mountain bikes with suspension but thats about as good as they got. They looked like they'd been dropped off a cliff and then put back together. You were lucky if your gears worked!!! Our bums were very painful when we got back! :-)
So we set off through the chinese country side and ended up at a place called 'moon hill'. It was kinda of...well....a big hill to be honest!! So we climbed 1250 steps to reach the top- hard work believe me! Views were excellent so we took some good photo's.
We then tried to cycle back but got lost twice in the countryside and eventually ended up having to take a bamboo boat back down river to a place we passed previously, because the sun was so hot!! It was an excellent ride down the 'rapids' (note, i use that term extremely loosly!! haha) and very relaxing. We then cycled on back home and had a nice shower to cool down.
Turns out that sarah got slightly sunburnt on her shoulders, and also found another 3 bites to add to her collection!! (don't laugh people!) I must just stink something rotten- is there something you all haven't been telling me for the past 22 years?!?! haha. :-) So at the moment the mosquito bite count is about 11 to 0 in sarah's favour!!
Anyway, we've been having lots of fun and will probably go out to some water caves tomorrow. hope you're all well. We'll try and get whatever presents people want (think we're going to have to buy ANOTHER bag- this'll cost us a fortune in polythene in hong kong!! haha)
See you all soon.
Love Si and Sarah (i can put my name first for once!!)

Done it at last!!!!!Actually Si, it's a well known fact that Mozzies don't like the smell of stinky cheese so I think your feet are offering you unparalleled protection! Poor Sarah, does the repellent not work? Perhaps you should offer her a bit of sweat off your feet Si, or would the bites definitely be preferable? Did you take the bikes up Moon Hill with you or did you risk getting them nicked by leaving them at the bottom? Looking forward to tomorrows news, love Sue and Phil
